What a wonderful place John and Shannon have here in Ennis. And they have been so kind and accommodating. John made a list of fun stuff to do, and we got about half way through before we ran out of day! (I am actually writing this on the morning of Day 8 as it was pretty late when we got done with dinner and 4-wheeling!) Tony was sick again, so we took him to see the doctor. General consensus if a combination of dehydration and fatigue. He rested most of the day. Tina shopped with Shannon in beautiful Ennis while John and I went to the gun store (where they know him by name and his credit card number has been memorized by all the store clerks!) I thought I had an issue with motorcycle stores, but nothing like John has with guns. Jennifer and I went shopping and bought stuff for dinner. We made traditional red sauce (gravy for those of you from New Jersey) with antelope sausage. I also made meatballs with antelope, elk and cow. The meal was great (I think- as I started cooking with wine early in the afternoon; no, didn't put any in the food!) and everyone was in a food coma on the back porch afterwards, to watch the afternoon thunderstorms. Lots of talk about life and how fortunate we all are to be able to enjoy friends and nature and a great glass of wine. A final ride on the 4-wheelers before bed. Tina told me I wasn't safe because I was going too fast up the hills. Told ya she was a smart one!

So sorry Tony to hear you have been sick on your trip. You looked like you were still able to enjoy that kayak! Loved the hat Tina; just write for the Kentucky Derby. Sounds like a beautiful place, fantastic meal and great friends. Not sure where you are heading next, but I'm sure wherever it is, you will have a good time. Love, Joan
