Day 20- Marco

OK, friends.  This is a participatory blog.  How about some comments.  I am especially interested in who is following from India, Iraq, Brazil, Germany, France, Italy and the UK.  Please let us know what you think, who you are and what you would like to hear about.  We are in the final 10 days; Fer is threatening a blitz back home.

  1. OK, you asked for it, you got it! First let me say that finding "The Aieta Family Rides West" in my inbox in the morning always gets the day off to the right start. Marco, your humor translates very well on a blog and I always get a chuckle - and sometimes a guffaw (loved the raingear assessment) - out of your posts. I don't comment often b/c I usually read the blog before I get out of bed in the morning and am completely incapable of operating my phone's onscreen keyboard at that hour and from that position. By the time I get to my desk, all hell has usually broken loose. Besides, who wants to read all this blather from me...? :) :)

  3. So I wrote a moderately long post, then when I tried to post, I got a bunch of screens in Arabic. Not knowing what they said, I backed out and lost data. So I'll have to summarize:

-Trip sounds incredible. Truly the kind of thing you'll remember forever

-It makes me want to get another motorcycle and do something similar soooooooooooooo bad. I have my eye on a 2011 Dyna....

-I can relate to the bad sleep on foreign beds. I shouldn't complain, since we even have beds at all, but they're junk, and I haven't gotten a good night's sleep since I've been in country

-Keep it up! I'm totally voting against the blitz back to CO!

  4. Ok...Hello from India!
Aieta family your trip photos are making me so homesick I'm crying myself to sleep every night, (After saying my prayers, of course). You all look so happy, healthy and free. Just you, the bikes and the wind...Wow.

    Miss you lots.

    Always your friend,
    Mr. William

  7. Hi Alex,
I can't wait to see you and I hope you'll be alright. I feel bad for you about the bad beds.
The beds don't seem that comfortable here in the hotels either.
    Love,
    Tina and Tony

  8. Hi Mr. William,
We have Ganesh with us; he's a little wood statue. We also have our malas, but neither has gotten much use.
We're pretty homesick where we are. I especially miss my pet guinea pig Georgina and comfortable beds. I miss my pet guinea pig Brownie and my comfortable bed, and getting sleep because I'm not getting any for sure.
I hope you stop feeling homesick and we talk to you on the blog or somewhere else soon. Are you coming back here anytime soon? I don't think we are up for a motorcycle trip in India.
I miss having playdates with my friends. I hope you get to see your friends soon too.
    Love,
    Tina and Tony
