Pre-Launch Countdown

Just about 24 hours until we leave and still a long list of stuff to get done.  We will post some new photos of the bikes and us packed.  We plan to be out the driveway by 10AM tomorrow, July 1st, on the first leg to Rawlins Wyoming.  This first leg will be mostly freeway.  Not too scenic, but easier riding to let us all sort of settle into a rhythm and see how the kids (Fer and me too!) do with 4 hours of seat time.  Seems the biggest struggle was getting all their books-on-tape into the Ipods in a usable format. 

Almost Ready to Go!

The launch date of July 1st is fast approaching.  Final preparations are underway.  Some last minute activities at work and some final clothing purchases for Tina and Tony.  It is impossible to find motorcycle clothes for 10 year olds!  So Jennifer is improvising.  We have final plans to spend 2 days with friends John and Shannon in Montana and Lunch with Dan in Big Sky.  Really looking forward to 4th in Yellowstone.  We'll put up some photos of the bikes and the packing dilemmas.  Especially concerned about finding a good place for Teddy (Tina's favorite stuffie) to ride.

Preparations are Underway

OK, so the preparations are underway.  We spent all of yesterday planning the trip and making reservations across the west, from Yellowstone to Seattle and back. Called friends along the planned route and will be able to catch up with lots of them.
