Well they say all good things come to an end. I’m hoping it’s just a blip and we’ll be back on track. The good news: three of us are doing great. The bad news: Tony’s sick. We think it’s from eating too much bacon wrapped bacon – seriously, he ate two full plates of bacon for breakfast yesterday – but it’s hard to know for sure. Unfortunately, he’s spent the day in bed sick with an upset stomach, unable to keep even ginger ale down. A sick child is bad news under any circumstances; on vacation really not good; and on the back of a motorcycle – nothing less than terrible.
So we are trying to figure out tomorrow. We’re supposed to head to Blue Sky, MT for lunch with Marco’s friend Dan and then on to Ennis, MT to stay with one of Marco’s partners, John. A few possibilities – late check out (risk of afternoon thunderstorms); stay another night (probably in a closet as they are sold out); Tony rides on the back of my bike because I usually ride behind Marco (hope you are not the car behind me). There is a clinic here, so if he is still sick in the morning, we’ll go over there for a visit and then figure out our next move.
Marco spent most of the day in the room taking care of Tony and getting a little work done. Tina and I went hiking to the Morning Glory Geyser on a trail that starts right here at the Inn. The trail winds through a field full of geysers and we saw quite a few erupt on the way there and back.
A couple of notes on the comments…Tina and Tony have been thrilled to get comments and have responded back where the comment was posted. You can either go back to the entry where you wrote the comment to see their response, or when you post a comment, subscribe, and you’ll get their response emailed to you when it’s posted.
Other things…
The main road in Yellowstone is a figure 8, broken into the upper loop and the lower loop. We rode the lower loop yesterday, and unfortunately, didn’t get to the upper loop today as we’d planned.
Tina and Tony have their helmets on in a bunch of the pictures so it’s hard to see their faces and tell who is who. The quick way: Tina’s helmet is pink; Tony’s is black. I’ll encourage them to take their helmets off more often so you can actually see their happy faces.

What an adventure! I'm sorry to hear that throwing up has become part of it. Best wishes for a healthy tomorrow...

Tony felt much better today, but didn't eat very much. I think he lost about 5 pounds yesterday. We are going to feed him pancakes tomorrow and try to put a little weight back on him.
