Day 12 - Jennifer

Today it felt like we were far from home. Entering into Washington means we are nearly at the coast, which is a ways from Colorado. Up until this point I’ve felt like we can turn back any time, but now we are committed.  Not so easy to just turn around and go home.  A little bit unsettling.  We are really off on our adventure.

If there is one thing that I’d like to change about the trip it’s that I’d like to have more time. It feels like we are at a buffet (Tony’s words), only able to sample everything, not able to really sit down and eat a lot of any one thing. We have gone by too many things that I want to stop and do, yet we don’t have the time to do everything. A stage-coach ride in Virginia City, MT is the first thing that I felt really bad about having to pass up. And then there were all the things in Glacier that we had to pass up – plus the adventures in Yellowstone that we couldn’t get to. Tina has already said, “And next year we after we stay at John and Shannon’s, we are going to…”
