Day 6 - Marco

Another great day of riding.  More of the most beautiful scenery leaving Yellowstone, on the way to Big Sky  and finally on to Ennis Montana.  It was also a day of reconnecting with old friends.  We met up with Dan and Sue in Big Sky.  I met them in Steamboat the year of the Mountain Club, 1971, so 40 years ago.  They have been in Big Sky for about 36 years and we were last together in Steamboat 10 years ago, for a Mountain Club Reunion.  Had a nice lunch at the Bugaboo Cafe and caught up on life and such.

Then off to Ennis Montana to visit with John and Shannon.  We will be here 2 days.  John and Shannon have a beautiful place on the Morgan River, with lots of room, lots of toys and lots of fun stuff for us to do.  I have known John since my days at Stanford and John was at Carollo.  John prepared a wonderful meal for us and then we took a 4-wheeler ride around the property.  Tina and Tony drove and Fer and I held on for dear life!!  I'll cook tomorrow, pasta of course, with Aunt Louis's sauce and perhaps Aunt Mary's gnoochis if I am feeling brave.

Kids are tired and will blog tomorrow.

  2. Glad to see Tony is feeling better. And driving a 4-wheeler!!
Hope you got to ride the other loop on Yellowstone’s figure 8 road. Did you see the spill on the Yellowstone River?

Tina, that is a very good sketch of a buffalo! Go Buffs!

You guys are seeing a lot of interesting places, at your own pace. Great vacation all around!
    Ride safe!!

  3. Hey - looks like you are having great time - sorry to hear tony get sick - but too much bacon will do that to you...

I have this scene in my head from dumb and dumber where they are driving to aspen and "he has to go" - then they are frozen on the scooter together... don't know why but it's a funny one.

we were in yellowstone @ geyser on same day...

  4. Hi Chichi,
Thanks for following us. I'm having fun, and 4-wheelers were AWESOME! I got to sleep in a bedroom with a trap-door leading to an underground shooting range. Tell Gary!
John has a huge gun collection...tell Gary that too.
    Hope I see you soon.
    Love,
    Tony

    Hi Chichi,
We are having a great time and can't wait to see you. I worked really hard on the buffalo. I'm glad that you liked it.
    Love,
    Tina

    Hi Nowell,
Wish we'd seen you in Yellowstone, but you're probably glad you didn't see us, or at least Tony.
He's been off bacon since he was sick.
See you when we get back.
    Jennifer
