Day 25-Marco

Fun day in Boise.  Spend the afternoon at the Discovery Museum and then dinner and a flic at Flicks.  We saw Buck, the Horse Whisperer.  Tina said she never saw him whisper to a horse in the whole movie.  So much for truth in advertising!  The kids went for an evening swim and in general had a wonderful down day.  The rest of the ride (starts on Wednesday) is full of long days and long distances, but some great visits.  I could go on forever, but think I would be alone.

  1. Boise, our old stomping grounds, where Alex the Spud was born. It has changed, and judging from your pictures, a lot!!
I used to work in one of those state buildings next to the capitol. I also went to Boise State University for grad school....
Idaho has some interesting spots; their state motto is "Idaho is what America was". Maybe the motto has changed, too....
Should be an interesting ride home for you.
See you when you get back!

  2. I really liked Boise. We stayed downtown and could see the capital building from our hotel. Lots to do within walking distance. It reminded me a lot of the Boulder area. The vegetation and architecture were really similar to home. If we'd had another day I would have liked to float down the river and visit the art museum. Next trip...
