Day 13- Marco

Rain gear, leaving Leavenworth

Probably our most difficult riding day yet.  Started out with rain gear, anticipating a day of mostly rain and we were not disappointed.  Had a great lunch with Tino and Terry in Monroe.  Then off to Anderson Island.  Riding the freeway around Seattle, Bellevue and Tacoma was a rude insult after the calm and beauty of the previous weeks of  riding in relative calm and quiet.  In addition, the GPS went crazy and we got lost for a good while and separated.  Got to the ferry at the last possible moment.  We were in line but had not bought tickets, so we sent Tina and Tony to the ticket office with money, instructions and confidence that they could pull it off- and they did a great job at getting the tickets just in time!  Mimi had a wonderful dinner waiting for us and Ken shared some whiskey, so the evening ended in pure bliss.

  1. Excellent job on the ticket purchase, Tony and Tina! I know you both will step up when called upon. I'm sure it has something to do with being born on November 7.... (:-)
    Our best to the Fergusons!
